Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SnapView ("we", "us") collects and how we use it when you use our website and services (the "Service"). We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Information We Collect
- Snapshot images. When a chart snapshot is submitted through an integration, we store the image so it can be viewed at a shareable link. We do not require or collect account information to do this.
- Basic request data. Like most web services, our servers may process technical information such as the originating website (Origin/Referer) and request metadata for the purpose of operating, securing, and debugging the Service.
- Analytics. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Umami) to understand aggregate usage. It does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Store and serve chart snapshots at their shareable links;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- Detect and prevent abuse.
3. Public Nature of Snapshots
Snapshots are stored under randomly generated identifiers and are accessible to anyone who has the generated link. Please do not submit snapshots containing sensitive or private information that you would not want to be publicly viewable.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your information. We rely on third-party infrastructure providers to host the Service and store snapshots on our behalf. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the Service.
5. Data Retention
We aim to keep snapshots available for the long term so shared links keep working. If you believe a snapshot should be removed — for example, because it infringes your rights or contains content that shouldn't be public — email us at support@snapview.link with the snapshot link and a brief explanation. Because snapshots are created without accounts, we can't verify who originally generated a given snapshot, so we review removal requests individually and act on those that are well-founded.
6. Cookies
The Service does not use tracking cookies. Our analytics provider operates without cookies.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
